Pet & Country, a division of Seacoya Group Ltd, based in Ballymoney, is a sanctuary for pets and their owners; from shampoos, to the correct food diet, or a suitable collar and harness, there is a fantastic selection to choose from. For the pet owner, we stock a full range of high quality, fashionable clothing and gifts which takes inspiration from the great outdoors as well as the fashion cat walk. The store also incorporates a café where customers can relax and unwind with a coffee and traybake, a panini for lunch or afternoon tea.

We are now looking for an experienced Store Manager to lead this exciting lifestyle store. The successful candidate will be responsible for optimising the profitability of the store by creating and maximising sales opportunities through merchandising and staff training and development.

We are looking for someone with vision and passion, to take this exciting concept store to the next level in its development. 

Job Duties:

·       Be an ambassador for your store, creating a welcome atmosphere for all customers

·       Be a confident communicator with excellent organisation and problem-solving skills and have a real “can-do” attitude

·       Meeting individual and store targets and KPI’s, delivering feedback on targets and results to Senior Management and staff

·       You will be responsible for staff performance and absence management

·       Excellent Commercial and Visual Merchandising skills to ensure the store environment is clean, commercial and well merchandised

·       Ensure adequate stock levels are maintained at all times; managing stock ordering with several key suppliers and replenishments from a centralised warehouse through the bespoke software system and ensuring this is done efficiently.

·       Engaging sales drives and promotions to attract customers and gain loyal brand ambassadors

·       Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety Policies, Security and Food Hygiene Regulations. 

Essential Criteria:

·       Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a managerial position where you have actively led a team and encouraged team & personal development

·       Minimum of 2 years strong previous experience in a fast-paced retail environment.

·       Full driving licence.

·       Organised, flexible, hard-working and adaptable to change

·       Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

·       Excellent levels of commercial awareness & negotiation skills

·       Sound judgement with confident decision-making

·       Experience in the use of Microsoft office packages and EPOS systems

·       Passionate about customer service and pets

·       Flexible work schedule Monday – Saturday


Desirable

·       Creative/Visual Merchandising Experience

·       Has worked with Food Hygiene Regulations

·       Experience in financial analysis and creating forecasts
