This is an entry level role working as a key member of the development team. You’ll work side by side with designers, developers and project staff across a range of digital channels. In-house training will be provided for this role. 

Job Duties

- Develop and maintain websites across the company divisions

- Provide technical support when necessary

- Responsible for writing efficient front and backend code (DRY principle)

- Integrating data between platforms using APIs with bespoke solutions

- Testing sites and applications in different browsers and environments

- Meeting designers, developers and project staff for progress updates

- Develop and maintain mobile responsive sites using core web technologies

- Staying up to date with new trends and advancements

Essential Criteria

- GCSE or A-Level in ICT/Computing/Technology related subject or equivalent

- Strong front-end experience using core web technologies (HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, etc) with cross-browser compatibility in mind

- An understanding of modern UI and UX methodologies such as Material Design

- Sound working knowledge of MS Office Applications and Adobe Packages

- Ability to prioritise work effectively, accurately and meet deadlines

- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic

- Ability to analyse data

- Close attention to detail

- Ability to debug own code


- HND/BSc/BEng in Computing or related studies

- Any front-end knowledge (JavaScript, jQuery, React, etc)

- Any back-end knowledge (PHP, Python, MySQL, NodeJS, MongoDB, etc)

- Deploying websites to a live server via SSH/FTP

- Experience in a professional environment

- Experience with an online CMS

- Web administrative experience
